Stanislas Wawrinka is back home in Switzerland. After quite a long run in South America (Stan reached the semifinals in both the Acapulco and the Buenos Aires tournament!) Stan went to California to take part in the Indian Wells ATP Masters 1000 event.Stanislas Wawrinka est de retour en Suisse. Après un long périple entre l’Amérique du Sud – pour les tournois d’Acapulco et Buenos Aires (où il a atteint le dernier carré dans les deux cas!), Stan s’est rendu en Californie pour y disputer le tournoi Masters 1000 d’Indian Wells. He won first round match against Ginepri 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 but he had to yield to Gille Simon 6-4, 6-4 in the second round of the tournament because of a striking knee injury. Stan did not want to take any chance so he withdrew from the Miami Event and chose to properly heal before his gradually getting back to training. He is now eager to get back in great shape so that he does not miss the clay season that is to take off soon!Après un succès initial contre l’américain Ginepri 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, Stan s’est incliné au deuxième tour face à Gilles Simon 6-4, 6-4 en raison d’une blessure au genou. Désireux de ne prendre aucun risque, il a déclaré forfait pour le tournoi suivant, l’open de Miami. Stan a préféré privilégier la cicatrisation de sa blessure et la récupération avant de retrouver l’entrainement et de revenir au meilleur de sa forme pour les premières échéances de la saison sur terre battue qui s’annonce!
