After a good run in Cincinnati (only defeated by eventual winner Roger Federer in the semis), Stan is currently taking part in the US Open, New York. After an initial win 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 6-2 against Stakhovsky, Stan defeated belgian player Steve Darcis 6-7, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. His third round opponent is Dolgopolov. Stan made his best Grand Slam performance at the 2010 US Open, reaching the quarterfinal. His current good shape is a good sign as Stan is willing to go far in this event. If he were to win against Dolgopolov, Stan would play the 2011 US Open winner Novak Djokovic for a quarterfinal spot!Après sa demi-finale perdue contre Federer à Cincinnati, Stanislas Wawrinka dispute actuellement l’US Open à New York. Actuellement en bonne forme, il espère pourquoi pas rééditer cette performance cette année. En cas de succès contre Dolgopolov, Stan trouverait sur sa rout le tenant du titre Novak Djokovic!
