Stanislas Wawrinka will not reach the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open
for the second time in his career (after the 2010 edition). He had to give up during the
round of 16 match against Novak Djokovic, while the latter (current ATP 2) would lead 6-4, 6-1 and 3-1
in the third set. Stan was stopped by flu-like symptoms. He was thus not able to fight at 100%
of his capacity against the titleholder. He will now rest and then gradually return to training in

numéro 2 mondial, menait 6-4, 6-1 et 3-1 dans le troisième set. Contraint à
l’abandon du à des symptômes grippaux, Stan n’a ainsi pas pu lutter à 100%
de ses capacités face au tenant du titre. Il va désormais se reposer puis reprendre
le chemin de l’entrainement afin revenir au meilleur de sa forme pour les prochaines échéances!
